The challenges we offer

Under the responsibility of the Sales Manager, we are seeking to fill the position of Heavy Equipment Sales Representative. The main tasks related to this position are:

  • Represent the company to promote and sell machines to the customers in a defined sale territory, West end side of Ottawa;
  • Keep up to date with product knowledge, the characteristics and the advantages of all equipment which the company could sell;
  • Plan and optimize territory coverage to maximize the results and increase the market share by developing and by executing strategic business plan;
  • Generate sales opportunities with existing customers and new leads by using proactive sales techniques;
  • Inform the customers about our product offering, as well as promoting divers purchasing options;
  • Have a good knowledge of the value of the used equipment and be able to estimate it correctly for trade purposes;
  • Retention of customer base to assure a growth of income;
  • Sales process including among others: Onsite visits, product presentations, creation and revisions of the quotations;
  •  Presence in the local events related to the industry to establish and maintain relationship with business partners;
  • Regularly updating customers profile in the system for an effective management of the clientele;
  • Stay up to date on the evolution of the market and the competition so that our customers receive the best possible value.

  • Have a College Diploma or a Vocational training, and/or 3 to 5 years of experience in the field of the sale and business development, any experience or training related will be considered;
  • Knowledge of sales techniques;
  •  Knowledge of the clientele aimed by this industrial sector;
  • Good knowledge of the heavy machinery (main part);
  • Capable of developing and of maintaining long term relationships and reliable;
  • Well organized and excellent time management skills;
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word);
  • Bilingual written and spoken (French and English).
