Acquisition of New Holland dealership, F. Campeau & Fils

St-Guillaume: Thursday, September 15, 2016 –Machinerie CH is proud to announce the acquisition of the F. Campeau & Fils New Holland dealership located in Dalhousie-Station in western Quebec, effective September 30, 2016.

This acquisition means Machinerie CH group now operates 7 New Holland agricultural machinery dealerships and a total of 13 locations for Groupe Terapro. Their goal is to maximize and consolidate services to growers over a more vast territory while maintaining their founding values of customer proximity.

The history and expertise behind F. Campeau & Fils will remain in place as the present owners, Peter Campeau & Annick Campeau, plan to grow with the company in positions of sales and customer service. The same is true for all existing employees.

Employing more than 120 employees in 6 locations, Machinerie CH has operated in the domain of agricultural equipment and snow removal for more than 45 years. Known for its unmatched customer service and the quality of New Holland’s product line, it is the largest dealer of New Holland combine harvesters in eastern Canada. Since 2010, Machinerie CH has been a part of Groupe Terapro in partnership with Inotrac and Longus.

Counting 250 employees, Terapro works in the equipment sector with its two divisions: agricultural machinery with the New Holland Agriculture dealerships and construction machinery with the Case Construction dealerships. The group operates 12 dealerships in all, 8 of which are in the agricultural sector under the Inotrac and Macherine CH banners and 4 others in the construction sector under the Longus banner.

About F. Campeau & Fils

Founded in 1888 with a service repair shop for farmers, the company grew to become a specialist in the sale of agricultural machinery under the New Holland banner. Six generations of Campeau’s have built this successful business. Located in Dalhousie-Station, near the Ontario border, the company serves clients from both Quebec and Ontario. Over the years, the team of 18 employees has developed a strong expertise in field crops and cultivation equipment.
